World's Most Powerful Laser

news_15357_1_MDThe world's largest laser was fabricated at the University of Texas at Austin. It is reported that March 31 was overcome by the mark of the laser power in a quadrillion watts of power for which you want to order petawatt (a million billion watts ) of electricity in 2000 times the total capacity of all power plants in the U.S., and the laser beam brightness exceeds the brightness of the sun. The laser pulse lasted only a fraction of a second desyatitrillionnuyu. This development will be used to study the mysteries of the universe, such as the behavior of gases at extremely high temperatures under the pressure of several million atmospheres. It is even possible simulation of a mini- supernovas, and the study of energy by controlled fusion.

Though, honestly, with the most powerful laser in the world we are somewhat hasty. The record was set in the Nova laser National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore, and the power it was 1.25 quintillion -watt.
